Madatraining :D

Not exactly training, but this is what I have done:

Climbed the second highest mountain on the islnd (2658m so not exactly altitude training!) but did carry all my own stuff, i.e. tent etc. so that i didn't have to pay for a porter. This was 3 hours walking on the first day, 10 hours or so on the second day, and then a 3 hour hike on the last day in monstrous heat.

Alsdo just come back off another 2 days of hiking in another national park. First day was approximately 6 hours of walking (maybe 5) at a gentle, Helen-limited pace :D, the second day was miore hardcore because helen had left, still 6 hours but got my guide to walk much faster, we took about 3 hours less than most groups do, and beat people who went most of the way in a 4x4 despite leaving at the same time, if not after.

Off to some paradise island now, looks like we can rent bikes so hopefully I'll get some good cycling in, but to be honest my legs are staying strong while my heart rate doesn't get over about 140 so i'll be needing aerobic work when i get back :D

Train you ugly bastards, I don't want to be bumped in Lents.
